"It has long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things."

Young "Disciples" Sign Up for Journey
The Kearney First United Methodist Church Youth Group represented their congregation at Epworth Village for a mission visit! The church as a whole took part in the "12 Disciples Journey for Children and Families" by collecting much-needed items for the agency. The Youth Group came to Epworth for a Saturday visit as well! They purchased pizza and held a fun party with an afternoon of games and fellowship. The day concluded with a compassionate Bible study about "Peter." Members of the youth group said they want to return next year for more fun and interaction with the boys we serve!

Tiny arms, BIG hearts!
Aurora United Methodist Church took part in the "12 Disciples Journey for Children and Families" in February. The church held a special mission Sunday for Epworth, collecting all sorts of items for the village and contributing funds to the "Mister Can You Spare a Dime?" campaign. The youth also held an Easter breakfast fundraiser for the agency.

"The Great Paper Challenge"
Cambridge United Methodist Church also participated in the "12 Disciples Journey for Children and Families." They focused on the "Great Paper Challenge." To meet the paper product needs of Epworth Village, Inc. for one month we need: 150 boxes of Kleenex, 300 rolls of paper towels, 300 rolls of toilet paper and 8,000 napkins!

Omaha Grace United Methodist Church
United Methodist Women helped load items from Omaha Grace United Methodist Church into the Epworth Village van after their church held a special Sunday for the agency. The church collected everything from toys for the boys to coats and personal hygiene products. Grace UMC is also on the "12 Disciples Journey for Children and Families."

Albion and Loretto United Methodist Churches Work Together on Journey!
Youth from Albion and Loretto United Methodist Churches took a tour of Epworth Village as part of their involvement with the "12 Disciples Journey for Children and Families." The group brought several needed items for Epworth as well! The churches "adopted" Epworth during the month of April. They also featured a speaker from Epworth during the month.
