Treatment Group Home Services are for Boys Only

Coleman & Slife

In the mid-1990s, Epworth Village started the first Treatment Group Home in Nebraska!

Epworth Village offers 26 beds at this level of care. Male youth are placed in one of three units located within the community of York, Nebraska.

Youth receive a minimum of 21 hours of therapeutic treatment per week. The treatment hours are comprised of individual, family, and group therapies, life skills classes and social skills classes. Each youth has an individualized treatment plan through which the youth's particular treatment needs are addressed.

Youth attend the Epworth Village Learning Center with the ability to mainstream into the York Public Schools, as they are behaviorally and academically able to do so. Youth at this level of care are expected to actively interact with the community through volunteer work, part-time jobs, and utilizing public amenities such as the library. The average length of time a youth is at this level of care is four months.
