Epworth Village, Inc.
Awarded Accreditation
from Joint Commission
York -- By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization’s national standards for health care quality and safety, Epworth Village, Inc. has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval.
Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. The Joint Commission conducts unannounced on-site surveys of the locations they approve.
“In becoming accredited, Epworth was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission surveyor experienced in the delivery of behavioral health care services,” says Mary Cesare-Murphy, Ph.D., executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program, Joint Commission. “Achieving accreditation demonstrates Epworth Village’s commitment to provide high and safe quality care.”
Tom McBride, Executive Director of Epworth says, “Accreditation by the Joint Commission is no small feat. To obtain accreditation is commitment to always be examining and improving the quality of your program and an affirmation of the current quality of care. It takes an exceptional staff to achieve this recognition at the high level we did.”
