Epworth Village, a special place where kids grow and change

  • Epworth Village is in York, Nebraska
  • It’s a special place where boys come to learn about themselves and grow.
  • The boys that come to Epworth Village need extra help; some with school work and some with their behaviors.
  • Some of the boys have families, some of them don’t. We want all of them to have someone who cares about them. We want all of them to grow into strong individuals. We want all of them to have hope.
  • Jesus said, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” JOHN 15:12 (NKJV)
  • The symbol of Epworth Village is a butterfly. That is because before it becomes a butterfly, a caterpillar goes through a growth stage during which it is called a “chrysalis.” On the surface it may not look like much is happening, but during the delicate process the fuzzy little caterpillar changes into an awesome butterfly with wings of intense color and intricate design. The chrysalis process symbolizes the way Christ transforms his children into something beyond their dreams by God’s grace.
