Josh Stafursky, Vice President - Human Resources

Josh StafurskyJosh Stafursky was born at Walson Army Hospital at Fort Dix, N.J., while his father, Bill, was serving in Vietnam. Shortly after his father’s discharge, the family moved to Tisbury, Massachusetts, located on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Josh graduated from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.

Josh attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After graduation and a short stint with the university as a teaching assistant, Josh moved to Hastings and became News Director at KHAS Radio. Following that, he reported on education issues, the Legislature and wrote a weekly opinion column for the Hastings Tribune. In 1996, Josh and his wife, Jodi, moved to York, where Josh worked as a regional reporter and then circulation manager at the York News-Times. Also during this time, Josh was active with the York County Foster Care Review Board and other volunteer organizations.

In 1998, Josh made a career change and joined the staff at Epworth Village as a Life Skills Trainer at Mills Cottage. He remained involved in a variety of volunteer efforts, and in October 1999 was appointed by then-Gov. Mike Johanns to the state’s Blue Ribbon Panel to Investigate Infant Mortality. Josh was part of the team that helped launch Epworth Village’s Emergency Protective Shelter in 1999 and later served as Training Coordinator for the agency before being named Human Resources Manager in October 2003. Josh was later promoted to Vice President - Human Resources.

Josh and his wife have two children, Olivia and Noah.
